Current laws restrict ebikes to 15.5 mp/h – or 25km/h. It is amazing how the assist works and you will be able to travel distances with ease.

Yes, It is called assitive technology.  You pedal and the ebike assists you on 5 levels. Power levels 1 and 2 for normal flat terrain. For slight gradients where its harder to pedal you can then use level 3 and more power using 4 or 5 for steeper hills. You can use as much or as little assist as you wish depending on how much energy you wish to use, its as simple as that.

This along with the additional benefit of having 10-15 times more shock damping, Our Gron ebike today experiences a much more comfortable and efficient ride.

Gron-e Electric Folding Bike

Battery

Our Gron-e  battery is a Samsung battery of high quality and has a range of 40-50 km. On a single charge we get 30 miles and around 800 charging cycles so it will last you up-to 5 years* if looked after *(dependant of usage).

250 watt rear hub motor designed for simple maintenance, easy to replace and excellent on small folding e-bikes as they are more reactive when you pedal. Rear hub is the choice of a small ebike as they are often smaller and weigh less and it means the battery can be smaller but with a real feel of power as it is directly connected to the rear wheel. Our hub motor, we like to think of it as giving you a gentle helping hand when you pedal and that allows you to ride hills, roads, tracks and trails with ease.

The battery life depends on how much you use it. You can expect about 5 years. A new battery can be purchased if needed, we carry these in stock.

You can easily remove the battery from the bike and charge it at home in a standard wall socket or you can charge it whilst still fitted to the bike plugging into a standard mains socket in the same way. The charging time is about 3 hours and it comes with it’s own small compact ac adapter charger and mains power lead.

Servicing

Your Gron can be taken to any local bike service centre in the UK for general maintenance and puncture repairs. Standard component’s used throughout means most bike centres carry spares or parts. However, we also carry every single bike part so you can be assured if you ever need anything these can be ordered through our customer service contact.

Within 6 weeks tighten your joints and inspect your ebike. An allen key is provided in three sizes to help make any minor adjustments. The Gron has been designed to be modular, we only use common parts of a high quality that any good bike service centre will be able to get hold off. Always store your ebike in a cool dry place and wipe down after every ride to keep it in prime condition.
  1. Lubricate the chain every 12 months with a dry oil.
  2. Visual checks on brake pads.
  3. Any adjustments to gears can be made at a service centre and small bike lubricant applied to any moving joints.
  4. Always check nut bolts and joints for any loose items and tighten.

Your e-bikes brakes are your main safety componenent. Take a close look at your brake pads at least once or twice a month to see how they are holding up. You will need to replace your brake pads every couple of years depending on how often you use your ebike.
