More range for bigger days out
One battery gives around 40–45 miles (65–72km) of riding, depending on terrain. With a spare ebike battery in your bag or motorhome, you can roughly double that before you need to find a socket.
Your real range depends on things like rider weight, hills, weather and the assist level you choose. Using a lower assist level on flat roads helps each battery go further.
Quick and easy to swap
The battery uses a simple key lock system. One key lets you lock the battery to the bike, switch it on and remove it.
Swapping takes moments: unlock the empty battery, lift it out, slide in the charged one and lock it in place. You can then charge the empty battery indoors while you carry on riding.
Charging time
A full charge takes about 3 hours using protected charging technology, so a battery can be ready again by the end of a lunch stop or a visit to the beach.
Looking after your spare ebike battery
A well-cared-for battery lasts longer and stays safer. Each Gron battery should give around 700 to 800 charge cycles. To get the most from it:
- Store it indoors in a cool, dry, safe place.
- Avoid leaving it in very cold conditions, as cold weather reduces performance.
- Only use the Gron charger supplied for your bike.
- Stay nearby while it charges and do not charge it overnight.
- Do not cover the battery or charger while charging.
